I’m Iqra, a Mechanical CAD Designer with a background in Biomedical Engineering Technology and over a year of hands-on experience in SolidWorks.
CAD & mechanical design
SolidWorks part modeling, assemblies, surfacing and basic Simulation. Fit, form and function validation.
Engineering documentation
Technical drawings, GD&T, tolerancing, Bills of Materials and controlled design revisions.
Prototyping & validation
FDM and SLA 3D printing, rapid prototyping and silicone casting molds. From CAD to physical parts.
Design for manufacturing
DFM/DFA, CNC machining, injection molding and sheet metal. Material selection, finishes and coatings.
Slicing & print software
Orca Slicer, Lychee and Bambu Studio for preparing FDM and SLA prints.
Simulation
Comsol Multiphysics alongside SolidWorks Simulation to analyze and validate designs.
Materials: stainless steel, aluminum & medical-grade plastics.
